Three Golden Rules to Social Media Marketing
Anything that we pursue to make our business more successful most often means following the rules. For example, if you are going to engage in a Facebook marketing campaign, then there are certain rules you will need to follow. The same will apply to YouTube marketing or a Twitter marketing campaign.
You are soon going to find that the rules are somewhat different for each of these but there are still some that apply to them all. Here are three important and standard rules that you want to keep in mind.
Rule #1: Know when to listen
All too often we are so busy talking when it comes to social media marketing that we forget to listen. The feedback that you get and what people are saying about you and what you are offering is vital to building a successful social media marketing campaign. This is also the way you can generate followers
Rule #2: Stay consistent
Many times just from the sheer enthusiasm of being able to promote our business through such an exciting platform as social media marketing venues, individuals start out with putting forth a great effort of time and quality into their campaigns. In a short time though these efforts become what many feel is too time consuming and they start to reduce their efforts. It is important that if you are going to become involved in a social marketing campaign that you stay up to date and consistent with it. It becomes most irritating to followers in Twitter for example to start to take an interest in what you are promoting then there is no contact for several weeks. You will soon notice that you are not able to generate fans either.
Rules #3: Do an analysis and use the information
Track what you are doing, and know what the results of your social media marketing analysis is telling you. It is all well and good to have a good social marketing put in place, but if you don’t know how it is producing and what is, and is not working then you are not getting the best results from your efforts.
There are many other rules that you are going to discover but many of these will be unique. For example you will find that there are rules in your approach to your Facebook marketing that you will want to be aware of. The same applies to all of your marketing efforts even outside the social network marketing.
