Online Influence Conference Brings Global Brands to Bristol
IBM, TUI Travel, MediaCom and ITN are among the brands taking part when The Online Influence Conference (OiConf) returns to Bristol for the second year running tomorrow (20 October).
OiConf is the UK’s fastest growing social and mobile innovation conference. With events in Cardiff and Bristol, and plans to expand to London, Manchester, New York and Taipei, OiConf aims to deliver world-class content from industry leaders and internationally respected speakers.
Paul Shepherd, founder of Coup Media and organiser of OiConf, said: “Bristol was a fairly obvious choice for us. It’s the UK’s biggest digital cluster outside London and it is home to a wealth of talent. It is the natural host for an event that is really challenging how social and mobile drive the future of business.
“After a successful run in Cardiff, we trialled our first event here last year and were blown away by the interest we received. We immediately agreed to return with an even bigger and better event.”
The Bristol event will deliver a packed day with six keynote speeches, six break-out sessions and a panel discussion as well as an exhibition space and networking opportunities.
Over 200 delegates will be treated to talks on the future of marketing, the rise of mobile and emerging social media channels like SnapChat, Facebook Live and Instagram Stories. Other presentations will cover big data, content strategy and chatbots.
Shepherd said: “The Oi conference is a unique event in that it brings together the coolest, biggest names and brands to talk about what’s working, what’s next, and how we can all get better at using platforms that promote the social and mobile landscapes right now.”
OiConf is taking place tomorrow at the Mercure Hotel, Bristol BS1 6SQ, from 8am to 6.30pm, and tickets cost £99.
The list of speakers includes Jeremy Waite of IBM, John Watton of Adobe, Simon Baker of ITN, Ben Phillips of MediaCom, Rachel Hawkes of TUI Travel, Freddie Ossberg of Raconteur, Steve Bartlett of Social Chain, Owen Williams of BBC, Sharon Flaherty of Brand Content, Gareth Morgan of Liberty, Nick Henderson of Hello Soda and Kevin Sutherland from Seven.
