Small And Medium-Size Businesses Can Now Use Pinterest’s Ad Manager Tools

The Ads Manager will now provide tools for bulk-editing campaigns, easier tracking of campaign success, and more seamless purchases of ads with credit cards to other advertisers on Pinterest, including SMB.

Pinterest announced this week their plans to open the Pinterest Ads Manager to all small and medium-sized businesses in the U.S. based on the success that larger businesses have seen in the past year and a half.

The Ads Manager will provide tools for bulk-editing campaigns, easier tracking of campaign success, and more seamless purchases of ads with credit cards to other advertisers on Pinterest.

Also per the report, Pinterest is looking to add to the tools it can provide marketers with respect to ad targeting. Specifically, it is adding to the number of interests that can assist marketers’ efforts in targeting their audiences – the new number reported at 420.

Beyond interest targeting, marketers can also target keywords helping them to reach people when they may simply be in a “browsing” state of mind. A third critical form of targeting being introduced by Pinterest is customer database targeting, allowing marketers to create an audience to target by uploading a customer database that is created into a user profile.

In a statement to TechCrunch sources, Pinterest Product Manager Nipoon Malhorta elaborated on how the company hopes these tools are utilized by potential marketers, “Obviously every partner’s situation is unique, but we do believe all these combinations help them maximize their impact on the platforms.”

While Malhorta did not speak to any ideas in the works for future developments to its advertising tools, he did state, “We’re gonna continue to invest so that Pinners are connected with the right partners. We also have multiple teams [like engineers that work on ad relevance] inside the company [dedicated to that.]”
